Forex Group Australia Pty Ltd is proud to announce that the Australian Securities and Investments Commission granted us an Australian Financial Services Licence on 23 February 2004. Details of our licence can be found by following this link to the ASIC website - AFS Licence Number 247 017.

The licence granted to Forex Group authorises it to conduct a financial services business to retail and wholesale clients. Forex Group is licensed to:

  1. Provide financial product advice for foreign exchange contracts.
  2. Deal in a financial product by:
    • issuing, applying for, acquiring, varying or disposing of a financial product in respect of foreign exchange contracts; and
  3. Make a market for foreign exchange contracts;

Legal Requirements

In conjunction with our AFS License, we are required to:

  1. Provide clients with a Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide.
  2. Where personal advice is given to a client, a Statement of Advice must be provided.
  3. Each client must be identified per the legislative requirements indicated below..

Individual Identification Requirements

This is a Financial Transaction Report Act requirement that only needs to be completed once.If you are a new customer to Forex Group, before we can open your account, we will need to confirm your identity by completing a 100-point identification check.

Business / Company Identification Requirements

In addition to the Individual Identification requirements, company's are required to provide us with their ABN and ACN. Forex Group Australia may conduct searches on the company to ensure legislative requirements are met.
